Leading the way going into Day 5 is the recently-signed member of Team Ivey Poker, Toby Lewis, with 1.816 million.

According to the WPT Live Reporting Team, the day got off to a quick start with several eliminations. The first to go was Dani Stern, who was all in for 116,000 from the hijack with the 8?8? and was dominated by the 9?9? of Marios Savvides. The board ran out an uneventful J?7?5?K?3? and Stern became the days first elimination in 63rd place for $18,360. Savvides went on to finish in 37th place for $25,810.

From there the eliminations continued to mount, including WPT Champions Club members John Hennigan (56th-$18,360), Carlos Mortensen (55th-$18,360), Phil Laak (54th-$21,840) and Scott Seiver (52nd-$21,840). Others eliminated on Day 4 were Mimi Tran (50th-$21,840), Dan Shak (49th-$21,840), Ryan Eriquezzo (47th-$21,840), Trevor Pope (36th-$29,780), Sam Razavi (34th-$29,780) and Joe Hachem (33rd-$29,780).

Hachems elimination came in Level 20 (5,000/10,000/1,000) when he got all in holding the A?K? on the button and was up against the A?K? of Garrett Greer in the hijack. Both players held the same hand, and according to the PokerNews Odds Calculator, there was a 97.09% chance of a tie with Greer having a 1.82% chance of winning the pot outright. That number shot up to 36.36% when the 10?6?3? flop gave Greer a freeroll to a heart flush, which came to be when the dealer burned and turned the J?. It was a brutal beat for Hachem, who took his leave after the meaningless 9? was run out on the river.

Over the next few hours, Hachem was joined on the rail by Mohsin Charania (32nd-$29,780), Chris Klodnicki (31st-$29,780), Scott Clements (30th-$29,780), David Peters (29th-$29,780), Peter Neff (27th-$34,250), Jesse Sylvia (26th-$34,250), Eric Froehlich (23rd-$38,710), Galen Hall (22nd-$38,710) and Jennifer Harman (21st-$43,180).

Harmans demise came in Level 22 (8,000/16,000/2,000) when Alexander Venovski opened for 33,000 from early position and Harman moved all in from the cutoff for 210,000. Venovski called with the A?K? and was well out in front of Harmans A?Q?. The 8?7?3? flop was no help to Harman, and neither was the 6?. That meant she needed a queen on the river to stay alive, but it wasnt in the cards as the K? peeled off.

After Ana Marquez was eliminated in 20th place for $43,180, Noah Schwartz got all in preflop holding the A?Q? and was racing against the 8?8? of Jeremy Ausmus. The J?5?3? flop made things interesting as it gave Schwartz a flush draw to go with his overs, but he would be left wanting as the 4? blanked on the turn followed by the 3? on the river. Schwartz was eliminated in 19th place for $43,180 while Ausmus bagged 1,053,000 at the end of Day 4.

While many notables fell, there is still some stiff competition left in the field. Among those headed to Day 5 include Michael Winnett (300,000), Randy Ohel (646,000), Bruce Kramer (731,000), Blake Barousse (954,000), and Paul Volpe (1,562,000).

Day 5 begins Wednesday at noon PT and the remaining 18 players will play down to the final table of six. Stay tuned to PokerNews.com for a full recap of the days action upon the completion of play.
