FTOPS XXI

The Full Tilt continued on Monday with three more events from the 35-event schedule. After a full day of play, three more winners Jo?o joaosimaobh Sim?o, fowirls and gorskow were crowned and joined Michael "doneNdusted84" Kanaan, who took down Event #1: $216 No-Limit Hold'em Multi-Entry for $187,484.40, on the FTOPS XXI winners list.

Furthermore, with his win in Event #3: $1,060 No-Limit Hold'em Multi-Entry for $149,950 and a 94th-place finish in Event #1 for $931.94, fowirls sits atop the Full Tilt with 300 points.

Heres a summary of Mondays tournaments:

Event #2: Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Six-Max

Event #2: Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Six-Max boasted a $75,000 guarantee that was surpassed when 527 players put up the buy-in, creating a prize pool of $105,400. The tournament attracted some stiff competition, including two-time FTOPS winner Mark xqsays Radoja, who previously won both FTOPS XIII Event #17: $322 6-handed NLHE Rebuy for $206,119.50 and FTOPS XVII Event #12: $535 Heads-Up NLHE for $89,088.

Radoja made it all the way to the final table and was within striking distance of his third gold jersey. Unfortunately for him, his run was cut short in seventh place for a small consolation prize of $2,318.80. Jeremiah Believer8219 Vinsant followed Radoja out the door in seventh place for $3,689.

Brazils Sim?o did not suffer the same fate as the aforementioned finalists, however, and went on to defeat BuratinBilTupoy in heads-up play to capture the $23,188 first-place prize. Sim?o, who was making an effort to study games outside of holdem, quickly took to Twitter to express his excitement:

*Roughly translated from Portugese the tweet reads: "WITHOUT WORDS, SPEND STUDYING A NEW MODALITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE EVOLVE NLHE AND BOOOOM.")

Event #3: No-Limit Hold'em Multi-Entry

The second event of the day, Event #3: $1,060 No-Limit Hold'em Multi-Entry, more than doubled its $300,000 guarantee by drawing 705 players and creating a prize pool of $705,000. As previously mentioned, fowirls won that event, and along with his 94th-place finish in Event #1, he took over the top spot on the Full Tilt.

forwirls defeated some tough competition on his way to victory including FTOPS VIII Event #4: $216 Pot-Limit Holdem winner EMSBas, who defeated a field of 1,076 to win $215,200 in that event. Unfortunately for him, he missed out on his second gold jersey and had to settle for a fifth-place finish for $45,825. Likewise, rh300487, who PokerNews own Kristy Arnett defeated in the finals of the 2010 MiniFTOPS Event #12: $50 Heads-Up Shootout to win $31,000 and the title of champion, once again missed out on a jersey by finishing in fourth place for $59,925.

Event #4: No-Limit Hold'em Rush Turbo

For the third time on Tuesday, an FTOPS tournament surpassed its guarantee. In this case, it was Event #4: $216 No-Limit Hold'em Rush Turbo drawing 1,018 players and creating a prize pool of $203,600, more than double the $100,000 guarantee.

Because this event was a Rush Turbo, it didnt take long for a winner to be determined just two hours and twelve minutes, in fact. Along the way, players like Chris Moorman1 Moorman, Luke _FullFlush1_ Schwartz and two-time FTOPS winner Jack JackQKA Ellwood all fell by the wayside; however, one familiar notable managed to make the final table: World Series of Poker bracelet winner Chance Chances Cards Kornuth, who was playing from Mexico. Although he had plenty of support, Kornuth didnt have the cards and ultimately finished in sixth place for $9,162.

Polands gorskow went on to claim victory in Event #4 and took home a prize of $45,810.
