With the 2012 Aussie Millions less than a month away, Melbourne's Crown Casino has announced changes to the registration process for several of the Aussie Millions Championship events.

With the exception of the $1,000 rebuy, the $5,000 Heads Up, the $5,000 Chinese Poker tournament and the $10,600 Main Event, all Championship events will have late registration available until the second break usually four hours into the tournament.

Registration for the Main Event will be available up until the start of Level 9, which is the second level of Day 2. This marks a major change from previous years. Because several players traveling from the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in January, Crown decided to allow players to register a day later and begin with a stack of 30 big blinds.

In addition, because the Chinese New Year falls on the same day as flight two of the Aussie Millions Main Event, a number of players in the region expressed their wishes to spend that time with their families and still participate in the tournament.

The 2012 Aussie Millions will feature a total of 26 events running from Jan. 12 through Jan. 28. The full schedule can be found at AussieMillions.com.

If you're still looking to make the trip to Melbourne in January, several online poker rooms are offering satellites for as little as $2 to win a $16,000 package. In addition, Crown Poker is offering a handful of daily satellites to win an entry into the $10,600 Main Event. Learn more about the satellites to the 2012 Aussie Millions here at PokerNews.com.
