The first event of the $15,000 Carbon Poker League has come to a close. "Balon96" won the event and his first-place finish puts him at the top of the Carbon Poker League leaderboard. Not only did he win the all-important league points, but he also took the lion��s share of the prize pool which also featured an added $50 thanks to PokerNews.
Along with the $76.40 first-place prize, the win secured "balon96" 15 league points giving him a great chance of finishing in the top 30 players who will qualify to take part in the $10,200 Big Final on Jan. 8 at 1800 GMT (1100 PDT).

Don��t forget that league points are up for grabs in two different weekly tournaments, which include a $3.00+$0.50 ($50 added) buy-in tournament every Tuesday and a $5.00+$1.00 ($100 added) buy-in tournament every Friday. The Friday events award double the league points!
