Annette Obrestad Signs With Full Tilt Poker
Annette Obrestad, better known to the online poker community as simply "Annette_15," has signed a sponsorship deal with Full Tilt Poker. Today's announcement comes on the heels of Obrestad teasing yesterday on her Twitter that she would be revealing some big news today.
Obrestad, 21 years old, has already had a poker career most players only dream of, with millions of dollars won online, a European Poker Tour runner-up finish, an Aussie Millions Main Event final table, a number of live side-event wins, and a coveted World Series of Poker Europe Main Event bracelet, which she won at the age of 19.
Obrestad, who has been sponsored by BetFair for the past few years, has been to Las Vegas twice since her 21st birthday. Her first trip was to participate in the popular late night television program, Poker After Dark, and the second trip was to the NBC Heads-Up Poker Championship in the beginning of March. True to form, Obrestad made a deep run in the heads-up event, cashing and coming once match short of the quarter finals.
With the World Series of Poker looming, Obrestad looks to storm Vegas again this summer hoping to add to her bracelet collection. Her signing with Full Tilt ensures that she'll be making that charge as a Full Tilt pro.
