The PartyPoker Women's World Open began today in London. The $3,000 buy-in tournament features 24 players and has a total prize pool of $72,000. Kara Scott and Annette Obrestad will be doing double duty as players and commentators along with Jesse May. Scott will be a busy bee adding presenting to her list of duties along with Tatjana Pasalic.

Kim Wooka, last year's WWO winner Aisling Collins, Christine Klecz, and Maria Demetriou are among the players taking part in this event.

Spring Break's Over

PokerNews' own Kristy Arnett is getting taken to school. Poker school that is. She will be receiving poker lessons from DeucesCracked's Andrew "BalugaWhale" Seidman.

The eight-part series will take an in-depth look at Seidman's coaching skills and give Kristy and viewers the tools needed to begin crushing online poker - not the nosebleeds obviously, but you've got to start somewhere.

Hollywooding

As of this writing, 15 players remain in the running at the World Poker Tour Hollywood Poker Open. Play will have begun in Indiana by the time you're reading this. Only 12 of the 15 will make the money, with first place taking home $393,820.

Sitting atop the chip count leaderboard is Frank Calo with 649,000 in chips. Carlos "The Matador" Mortensen began the day in sixth on the leaderboard with a chip stack of 322,500. Dwyte Pilgrim andEric "Rizen" Lynch are still in the hunt as well with 328,500 and 160,000 in chips respectively.
