PokerNews Welcomes Kristy Arnett to the Team
PokerNews is pleased to announce a new addition to Team PokerNews. Kristy Arnett will join Gloria Balding and Lynn Gilmartin as a video hostess, traveling the tournament circuit and bringing you interviews with all your favorite players. Kristy got her start in the poker industry at CardPlayer where she has worked for the past three years.
"I am absolutely thrilled to have Kristy joining the PokerNews family. In addition to hosting our North American Poker Tour coverage, Kristy will also be working with the team to expand our media reach outside of live tournament coverage. I personally have always respected the work she has done with CardPlayer and look forward to what she is going to bring to the table," said PokerNews Editor in Chief Matthew Parvis.
A Michigan native, Kristy discovered her passion for poker while on a soccer scholarship at Indiana Purdue of Fort Wayne where she majored in communication and journalism. She moved to Las Vegas in February 2007 after her last soccer season and started working for CardPlayer as an intern.
Her first on-camera debut was at the 2007 World Series of Poker. She began working full time for CardPlayer as a writer and on-camera hostess after the WSOP that year.
"Through the past three years, I've gotten to interview and write about the best poker players in the world and about a game I absolutely love. I feel so lucky to have gotten an opportunity to start my career in poker at CardPlayer and to be continuing it at PokerNews," Arnett said. "I'm very much looking forward to working with the beautiful Poker News hostesses Lynn Gilmartin and Gloria Balding. I think we're going to make a great team to provide the best video poker reporting in the industry."
