A big January for online poker drew closer to its conclusion with major weekly events on Monday at Full Tilt and Tuesday at PokerStars. Well-known online players triumphed in both events, with Scott "stpauli111" Hall capturing the Full Tilt $1K Monday and Shaun "shaundeeb Deeb continuing his recent surge by taking down the Stars Super Tuesday. Here's how the final tables of each played out:

PokerStars Super Tuesday

The <a rel=nofollow href="https://www.021couriers.com/ext/239">PokerStars</a> Super Tuesday drew 425 entrants this week, with first place awarding $81,812.50. Among the best finishers shy of the final table were Amit "AMAK316" Makhija in 10th place ($5,525), Alex "AJKHoosier1" Kamberis in 11th ($5,525), Jack "Doctor_Fun" Powell in 14th ($4,675), Mark "scrubbyz" Zajdner in 15th ($4,675), Shawn "jordankickz" Busse in 16th ($3,825), Phil "USCphildo" Collins in 23rd ($2,762.50) and Matt "plattsburgh" Vengrin in 32nd ($2,550). Eliminated from the final table first was lucksakk, at the 1,500/3,000/300 level. From middle position, lucksakk raised to 9,000 and holla@yoboy re-raised all in with the bigger stack. Lucksakk called all in for 29,932 with A?K? and was racing against holla@yoboy's Q?Q?. The board came 4?10?5?J?J? and lucksakk departed in ninth place for $7,225. Aditya "intervntion" Agarwal bid adieu later that level after shoving from the cutoff for 33,143 with {Ks]8?. Joel "JMPRODIGY" Micka called from the button with 9?9? and won the hand when the board rolled out 10?8?J?7?5?. Agarwal earned $9,987.50 for the eighth-place showing. Cory "UGOTPZD" Carroll also exited in this level. Ben "Waters81" Waters limped in from the small blind and Carroll went all in for 54,506 out of the the big blind. Waters called and his A?5? led Carroll's K?Q?. The board ran out 8?4?10?J?7? and Carroll was out in seventh for $14,237.50.

Holla@yoboy was eliminated at the 2,000/4,000/400 level. Shaun Deeb raised to 8,999 from middle position and holla@yoboy went all in for 68,662. Deeb called and saw that his A?Q? led holla@yoboy's A?10?. The board came 6?J?A?3?K? and holla@yoboy was sent to the rail in sixth place for $18,487.50. Mendieta19 exited at 3,000/6,000/600. Under the gun, mendieta19 went all in for 75,524 with A?5? and got action from Shaun Deeb, who held 5?5?. The board ran out 9?4?3?J?6? and mendieta19 finished in fifth for $23,800. Ben "Waters81" Waters was sent packing later in the level. He opened to 15,000 in the cutoff and Deeb set him all in from the big blind. Joel "JMPRODIGY" Micka exited in the following level, 4,000/8,000/800. Micka raised to 20,006 from the small blind and Shaun Deeb shoved with the big stack. Micka called all in for 185,480 with 5?5? to lead Deeb's 4?4?. However, the board rolled out Q?4?6?9?7?, with Deeb's set eliminating Micka in third place for $44,625. Heads-up play began with Deeb holding over a 3:1 chip lead over wgafnotme. In the final hand, Wgafnotme opened to 24,000 on the button and Deeb called from the big blind, leading to a flop of 10?A?K?. Deeb checked to wgafnotme who bet 16,000, and Deeb then raised to 48,000. After a few moments, wgafnotme went all in for 265,998. Deeb delayed before calling with Q?J? for the nut straight. The turn and river were no help to wgafnotme who finished in second place for $60,775. Shaun Deeb won the PokerStars Super Tuesday for $81,812.50.

Notable finishes included PeachyMer in 14th place ($3,680), Steve Wong in 19th ($2,024), Mark "scrubbyz" Zajdner in 20th ($2,024) and "Bowser125" in 35th ($1,656). Early at the final table a big hand eliminated two players at once. PreshaDroppa held A?A? to 4everunkown's A?Q? and Stian "JohnnyBelow" Stabell's K?K?. The board rolled out A?7?10?2?Q? and PreshaDroppa collected the big pot. 4everunkown finished in ninth place for $7,360, with Stabell in eighth for $9,200. The chip counts following that hand:
