Ongame Network Poker Classic Rescheduled, Qualifier Incentives Increased 0001

Ongame Network has announced the rescheduling and expansion of the Ongame Network Poker Classic [ONPC], expanding the opportunities for players to participate in the record-breaking tourney with a guaranteed prize pool of $5 million, with a million guaranteed to the event's final champ. The addition of several new sites to Ongame is one of the reasons for the revision, and a $50,000 freeroll for early qualifiers has also been tossed into the incentives mix.

Along the lines of several popular 'online to exotic final table' championships, the ONPC is a "flight" tournament that will begin online across all Ongame sites on November 4, and play down until the 45 players remain. Four weeks later, those 45 players will then be transported to one of Europe's premier casinos, the Casino de Barcelona, where their electronic chip stacks will be translated into real-life equivalents, and the lion's share of the $5 million prize pool will be awarded, with the winner crowned sometime on December 3rd.

Players can purchase directly into the ONPC for $5,000 (plus $200), or can qualify through any of several satellite methods on the Ongame Network sites. Those who satellite in and secure their seats before midnight ET on September 2 will also qualify for the just-announced $50,000 bonus freeroll, which starts at 4:00 p.m. ET on September 3. The single- and multi-tiered satellite qualifiers, both single- and multi-table as well, offer chances as inexpensive as a single dollar, a great opportunity at almost no cost.

Additional rules for the ONPC is available at ongameclassic.com.
