It is all over! One gigant hand decided the fate of the two remaining players and Max Altergott came out on top. Altergott raised from the button to 200,000 and Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier three-bet to 505,000 from the big blind. Altergott put in a four-bet to 1,000,000 and Mercier made the call.

The flop brought out {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and Altergott fired out 700,000 after the American pro had checked. Mercier called and the turn brought the {4-Diamonds}. Mercier checked again and Altergott continued betting, this time he threw out a 1,210,000-chip bet. Mercier moved all in and Altergott called.

Mercier: {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Altergott: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The river brought the {2-Clubs} and Altergott secured a mortal lock on the tournament. Mercier was left behind with just 220,000 chips and those went into the pot on the very next hand.

Mercier: {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Altergott: {J-Clubs}{9-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Mercier was knocked out in second place. Altergott took down the tournament and he notched up his first ever live cash, and it's a win!
