Sulsky Puts Chidwick to the Test

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky opened for 4,000 from the button and then called when Stephen Chidwick three-bet to 10,500 from the big blind. The {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop saw Chidwick check-call a bet of 8,000 and then the dealer burn and turn the {5-Diamonds}.

Chidwick checked for a second time and Sulsky spiked out a tower of pink T5,000 chips for a bet of 100,000, which was enough to put Chidwick all in if he chose to call. Chidwick thought about it and then opted to put in his last 80,000 or so.

Chidwick: {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Sulsky: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Sulsky had put the pressure on with the ace-high flush draw, but Chidwick passed the test by calling off with top pair and an open-ended straight draw. The {J-Spades} river failed to help Sulsky, and Chidwick was rewarded with a double.
