One of the Strangest Double Ups I've Ever Seen
I still can't quite believe the hand I saw that enabled Jesse Martin to double up.
Dan Abouaf raised to 56,000 from the cut-off and watched as Jesse Martin three-bet to 262,000 from the cut-off. Abouaf though for two minutes and then just called, to a few raised eyebrows from those not in the hand.
The flop fell and Abouaf moved all-in, snapped off by Martin.
As the cameras moved in to film, Martin told his opponent that he had a set. Abouaf's reply came, "Good for you."
Martin: for middle set.
Abouaf: for bottom pair!
The board ran out to make Abouaf trips, but it also filled up Martin.
No one could really believe what they just saw. It's not they're playing for €1.5 million or anything.
